All Creatures Great and Small,
The Lord God Made Them All ....
Logan is growing up. And as a mom who wants to raise my children in a direction that may take many of us back to humble beginnings - it's my prayer to instill in them the purposes that I believe our Maker wants us to find in our lives. And one of them is that when she hears the word "Drool", she thinks of a dog!"
That may seem awfully funny, but maybe you can identify with that - in a world where you can't even watch commercials during the evening news. But for Logan, it's wonderful to know she can love something with a heart so big and to know that it loves you back! We're both tomboy girls, I suppose you can say, and she loves her animals - all shapes, sizes, colors from her little Angora Bunnies to her largest Quarterhorse.
She can hardly wait to get finished with her homeschool studies to carry around "Henrietta" , her favorite old hen and to ride Major, Rocky and Jenna (yes all 3 every day) - to cut up some kale and collards for the Bunnies, along with a good carrot or two, and of course to cuddle a puppy in her arms.
Even Miss Eunice, our Piggy, makes her day brighter!
I've never met a person who doesn't love the sight of a puppy - I think baby animals are a way to bring people together! And we have been an animal family all our lives - if you haven't - then now is the time to start.
Our pets are amazing - they bring something into our lives that is so simple and unique. You've problem often heard that your dog loves you more than anybody else in the world - well, that's true. Our pets depend on us fully for their care and they love us unconditionally - it's sort of like the love that Jesus has for us.
Since I am on the farm all day, I get to enjoy the sounds and the feels all around me - from the crowing of the rooster in the morning until the last kiss in the face from my favorite lapbratz.
That's what Lapbratz love is all about!

A Family that Barks Together - Stays Together
Proverbs 12:10 says
'A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal,
but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.'
